Ideal Home has highlighted Argos’s Living and Home 4 Tier Shoe Rack with Coat Hanger, listed at £10, as a compact option for storing shoes and hanging coats. The rack has four shoe tiers and eight double hooks, but its sturdiness and assembly experience have not yet been assessed by the reviewer.
Ideal Home has highlighted a £10 Argos hallway rack that combines four shoe-storage tiers with eight double hooks for coats and accessories. The Living and Home 4 Tier Shoe Rack with Coat Hanger is presented as a budget option for households short on hallway space, although the report says its sturdiness and ease of assembly have not yet been tested by the reviewer.
The rack is sold by Argos under the Living and Home name. According to Ideal Home, it has four tiers for shoes and two rows of double hooks, giving users places to hang coats, hats, bags and keys. The reviewer also suggests the hooks could hold a dog’s harness and leads, while the shelves could be used for a handbag or storage baskets.
Ideal Home’s writer says the product caught her attention after a move left her with a narrow hallway, limited space and a tight budget. She describes needing to manage damp shoes and coats as autumn weather arrived, and argues that one combined unit makes more sense for her home than buying separate shoe and coat racks. That is the writer’s experience and assessment, rather than a product test or a guarantee of fit for other homes.
The report also lists two related Argos options: a five-tier version for £11 and a four-tier version in white, also listed at £11. Ideal Home says the metal frame should be wipeable, but readers should check the product listing for current price, availability, dimensions and care details before buying.
One Rack for Shoes and Coats
For a small entryway, combining shoe shelves and coat hooks can reduce the need for separate pieces of furniture. The Argos rack’s £10 listed price also makes it a low-cost option for people trying to organise a hallway without spending on a larger hall tree or separate storage units.
The practical appeal depends on the space available and the number of items a household needs to store. Four tiers and eight double hooks provide several storage points, but the report does not establish how many pairs of shoes fit, how much weight the hooks support or whether long coats will hang without touching the shoes below. Those details matter for deciding whether the unit suits a particular hallway.

A New Autumn Storage Listing
The Ideal Home article frames the product around a common seasonal problem: wetter weather can bring muddy footwear and damp outerwear into the home, where they compete for limited entryway space. The writer says her own hallway was already cluttered in early October and that a recent move had left her looking for an inexpensive, compact solution.
The report describes the Argos item as new to the retailer. As a result, the writer says she cannot yet comment on its sturdiness or how easy it is to assemble. Ideal Home also mentions alternative coat-and-shoe racks from VASAGLE and Amazon Basics, but those products have different designs and prices; the article does not provide a direct comparative test.
““I’ve been looking for a small-space-friendly shoe storage solution that offers the best of both worlds.””

Durability and Fit Still Unverified
Independent information about durability and assembly is not provided in the report. The reviewer says she has not assessed either, and the source material does not give test results for weight capacity, dimensions, shoe capacity or how the rack performs with wet coats and muddy footwear.
Prices and stock can change, and the article does not confirm how long the £10 listing will remain available. Readers should check Argos’s current product page for those details and confirm that the rack’s measurements suit their intended space.

Check the Listing Before Buying
The next step for prospective buyers is to review Argos’s current listing for dimensions, assembly instructions, materials and availability. Those specifications can help determine whether the rack will fit a narrow hallway and meet a household’s storage needs.
As the product gathers customer feedback, buyers may also be able to assess how it holds up and how straightforward it is to assemble. The Ideal Home report does not state whether the reviewer plans a follow-up review.
