Can’t decide whether you want a holiday by the river or by the sea? If you own this residence then you will never have to choose! This stylish wooden retreat is located on the Oregon Coast, specifically in Bluff Bandon, where the Coquille River joins the ocean. To me, this house looks like a perfect retreat. It has all that you can ever ask for on a holiday: a comfortable and stylish resting place, as well as peace and harmony with nature.
The building is “L-shaped,” and it provides you the view of both the river and the ocean, which you can enjoy through the huge windows. Almost everything here is wooden, except for some nice stone accents, such as the black marble floor in some areas. This gives the house a warm and pleasant tone that does not only look elegant but also feel welcoming. The building is surrounded by grass field and several cypress trees.
The interior looks quite modern while still retaining its natural feel. The rooms are pretty packed with furniture, but that doesn’t make those rooms feel crowded. On the contrary, the furniture gives you all that you need to feel comfortable and relaxed. The living room, for example, has an L-shaped grey sofa at its corner, facing the fireplace. Directly next to the sofa is the wooden dining table with six chairs around it, and next to the dining area is a bar. I think the close arrangement of furniture is offset by the large glass windows that surround the room, giving unobstructed view of the wonderful nature outside in every direction, as well as making the room look spacious and free nonetheless. The other rooms in the house show similar efficient yet elegant use of space.
The best part about this house is probably its sun deck, which is located at the back of the house. The sun deck is spacious and open, an ideal place for enjoying the sun light, the fresh air, and the breathtaking view. The cypress trees are especially interesting. They blend nicely with the design of the deck, looking as though they grew out of the deck itself. There are wooden benches circling the bough of those trees, and they too blend seamlessly with the entire design. This particular part of this house represents perfectly the creativity and uniqueness of this architecture. How wonderful indeed!
